6 jobs that actually exist in this world.

1. ICE CREAM TASTER

ice-cream

Yes, this is an actual paid position. John Harrison, he has the most delicious job in the business. As Official Ice Cream Taster for Dreyers Ice Cream (not to be confused with Breyers), John gets paid to sample three cartons of each flavor daily to check product quality. He claims the gig isn’t all fun and games since he must maintain a strict, spice-free diet; however, being surrounded by Rocky Road sounds like a sweet deal nonetheless.

tumblr_n3ks63wkBS1t4k5m7o1_500

For the past 72 years, PricewaterhouseCoopers’ Entertainment and Media practice has been counting the ballots cast for the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences’ annual Academy Awards. The two partners who run the 10-day ballot-counting team get to sit backstage and pass out the envelopes with the winners’ names inside. Inside Public Accounting says the average compensation for an accounting partner was $452,744.. Since your odds of becoming one of the two partners handling the task are as remote as your odds of winning an Academy Award, consider an alternative: working as an accountant in the entertainment industry.

and lastly…

6. SELLING YOUR LIFE

Mike Merrill used his business brain to invest in something most people wouldn’t ever risk: himself. He decided to split himself into $100,000 shares at a $1 a piece allowing shareholders to run his life as they please. In other words they choose his significant others, the food he eats, his hair style, you name it.
